What are the specifications for the type and size of the national standard power cord for socket plugs? GB/T1002-2008 "Single-phase electric socket plug types, basic parameters, and sizes for household and similar purposes" (hereinafter referred to as the "standard") states in Article 5.4 regarding the appearance of plugs: the appearance of the plug is not specified, but the distance from the edge to the plug pins should not be less than 6.5mm. As for socket products, there are no explicit regulations on the spacing between different sockets; for fixed sockets, as long as the ranges of two different sockets do not overlap, there are no restrictions on the spacing between the sockets.
This means that the appearance of the national standard power socket only has minimum size requirements and no maximum size restrictions. The product appearance of the plug can be designed as large as a brick. When using such products on a typical five-hole socket, two of the socket holes will almost be completely covered, and two plug heads cannot be used together. After all, the outer dimension of a typical 86-type five-hole socket is only about 90mm.
