Markings
Markings are important references for indicating the correct installation, use, and maintenance of products, and are extremely important safety standards for ensuring personal and property safety. Plug and socket products should clearly indicate the rated current, rated voltage, and power characteristics in a prominent position. Additionally, converters (which refer to mobile electrical accessories that combine a plug part with one or more socket parts) should use the "MAX" symbol to indicate the rated current or power to guide users to avoid overload usage. The markings or symbols should be durable and clearly distinguishable. Easily erasable silk-screen and paper labels should not be used.
Rated Values

Under high-temperature conditions, the structure and characteristics of insulating materials undergo essential changes, which determine the reliability of data usage. Some materials may gradually soften at high temperatures, leading to a decrease in mechanical strength, which will affect the quality and safety of plugs and sockets during use. Additionally, the insulating materials of plugs and sockets should have certain flame-retardant properties. Otherwise, if a fire occurs during use, it could lead to uncontrollable situations. Understanding the safety performance of plugs and sockets, and keeping the following points in mind when purchasing and using them can ensure the safety of your family and property:
1. Choose products from regular factories, supermarkets, or specialty stores, and select branded products; choose corresponding (matching) products based on the power of the electrical appliances used, such as air conditioners and high-power showerheads should use 16A plugs and sockets, while other small power appliances can use 10A plugs and sockets. For example, when purchasing a 16A plug power cord, check whether the wire's cross-sectional area meets or exceeds 1.5 square millimeters. If the wire is below 1.5 square millimeters, it is easy for the copper wire to heat up when using high-power electrical products, causing the PVC outer skin to soften, leading to appliance damage or circuit short-circuit issues.
2. Ensure that the product markings are complete, that there is a manufacturer's trademark, and that there are local national safety certification marks (for example, in the Chinese market, it must have the CCC mark). If the plug and wire products do not have markings, then this plug product is definitely a counterfeit product, and the quality of the product cannot be guaranteed.
3. Check the plug products for certificates of conformity and inspection reports issued by legal authorities. If the converter product is not included in mandatory certification, check for inspection reports issued by legal inspection agencies when purchasing, or check online whether the file number on the plug is valid.
4. Conduct a simple insertion test on the plug products. After inserting the plug into the socket, it should have good contact without a loose feeling and should be able to be pulled out without much force. Some products may pass factory inspection, but transportation may damage the plug pins, so testing before purchase can prevent many unnecessary losses.
5. Absolutely do not purchase plugs with rotating pins or artificially altered shapes. Such altered plugs must pass CCC certification; otherwise, they are definitely unsafe plug products and are prone to high-voltage electric shocks.
